Ferrari... again
"If the FIA want to be fair, they should give Massa a time penalty that puts him back in 4th place which is where he would have ended up of he'd had the stop-go penalty he almost certainly would have had if Ferari hadn't gone into the stewards room with an envelope stuffed full of Euros." ( Yahoo Blog Post )
But we all know that the FIA wouldnt even dream of damaging Ferrari's championship

Im sorry, but i have just finnished watching a bloody amazing ALMS race from Road America. It was bang from the go! It had everything great racing should have: Over optomistic moves, race ending moves, heart breaks, incredible speeds, amazing class duels and the revenge of Porsche against Ferrari in GT2.
Its a shame single seater racing cant be as exciting all the time

Mwahahahaha
I return to comment! Fresh from thrashing my squadron and being back online for the first time in 6 weeks, i am somewhat dissapointed. Out of all the team, there have only been one person posting with very little comments. Cheers Speedychick for commenting on your state-side trek.

Sated after the fix....
...of this weekends motorsport, World superbikes, British superbikes, MotoGp, and a sprinkling of the F1...Lots of controversy, in all the races, heroes, zeroes, tension, breathtaking incidents(Lorenzo's 'off' anyone) spats between riders/drivers (stoner v rossi, danica and milka, harris, and byrne...) Weather hiccups, sea frets at laguna, damp tracks in europe...proper, cojone shrivelling, RACING!! Yea Baby!

Motorsport...
....and the world economy are inextricably linked, as the economy runs down so does the sponsorship...At one time, that was'nt a problem as the tobacco guys allways had a big market, money, no problem, however, as they are no longer involved, the banking, and insurance, and telecoms have stepped in. At the moment most of the F1 rights are financed by RBS, and looking around motorsport generally, a lot of cars/overalls are carrying RBS logos, Santander, ING who are also very prominent, will probably have to curtail a good deal of their sponsorship to the lower orders, it would make sense to carry on with the blue chip sponsoship,ie. F1, but, RBS are struggling, who knows how many financial institutions are tied in with the American Fanny mae, and Freddy mac situation? who lost 50% of their value(over a £1000,000,000,000,000,s if that is how to write trillion) in ONE day!!! Motorsport has had a Huge time of it lately, there is a new formula mooted every week, but they all require sponsorship, in one way or another, if the banks, and building societies, are less than willing to lend, this trend will grind to a halt, the amount of spare cash available for god's pastime will go on rising household bills, and other such fripperies such as food, school dinners etc...BUT I HAVE GOOD NEWS....BUCKMORE AUG 25...six hours of GLORIOUS KARTING, in a THUNDERKART......YEA BABY!

Rain, Compulsory!
Fantastic, race at Silverstone, hamster certainly showed the way, Rain definitely makes a race, and Ferrari, actually, were very helpfull. Heidfeld was cooking, with Kubica down the drain...
Donington have a 10 year contract! looking at the plans, we are gonna see a lot of carnage, and rain will make it even more....bring it on...the 2009 rules should help at this track....Never underestimate the moneymen in F1, there is a hidden agenda here, and the mystery backer for Donington may surprise us..Silverstone did'nt seem that far away from their demands...watch this space....

What a GP!!
I think we might have just seen the best GP of the season. Silverstone delivering a great action packed raced and well marked 60 years. I find it a great shame that at a major occassion they can announce that Silverstone will be losing the race in 2010. I find the decision an odd one. Firstly I am glad that we will still have a GB GP! Secondly Donington is my Number 1 circuit. It was the first one I ever went to and the first one being on track. A great circuit layout that never fails to give entertaining races in whatever you are watching............. But they have so much work to do to get it up to modern F1 standard. Count me in for a ticket in 2010.

Zeroes to Hero
AAAAAAARRRRGGHH!!!!!, my next copy of Ferrari weekly will arrive with the vomit-inducing eulogies from a sycophant media, puke! spit! gargle with cyanide!!!At least we can all agree that Magny-cors was yet another yawnfest, and the latest of louie`s errors was, of course, punished whilst others were untroubled by the stewards.....Another of Britains heroes had a shite weekend, I write of the James, sliding off, unassisted, in the first corner of the British MotoGP, he had the courage to get back on , and endure the humiliation of being lapped, in what was a, fairly dull race........BUT, But, but......a 15 year old BRITISH rider, with less than 20 moto gp`s, in the 125cc class, under his belt, won his FIRST Gp on his BRITISH debut...how fucking cool is that!!!!!???? Scot Redding...Go Baby!!

Wow! Thats why Le Mans IS the dogs B********!!
At 1:05 am on Sun 15th, i checked the live timings and after over 10 Hrs of racing Audi was beating Peugeot by less than a lap. Aston Martin was beating Corrvette by around 40secs and the two LMP2 Porsches were inseperable.
By the end of the race...
All the above class battles were still raging. AMR had pulled just over a lap lead over the "vettes" to defend their GT1 Crown and the VM Porsche took the spoils in LMP2.
But finally against all the odds, through a full on assault from Peugeot, from rain to shine, night and day, after years of coming so close, Allan McNish has finally got to stand on the top step of the podium again. And Audi continue to claim Le Mans as their own, but it is most likely to be the R10's last time at the circuit as Audi move onto closed prototypes to remain competetive.
Overall a cracking race that will go down as a great battle between two great cars.
The only bad thing, is that for two years in a row, ive missed the race live on tv and ive not been since 04. Im getting serious withdrawl symptoms, so im going next year, even if it kills me!!

MBE,s
The Queen, bless'er has finally bestowed honour on one of Britains least talked about heroes, I write, of course about the current, and(in this generation of the series) only World Touring car Champion, Andy Priaulx....well done that man!!, Another British satisfaction , today, was Alan Mcnish in the Winning car at Le Man, it was looking to be totally dominated by the Peugeots, but rain, and some superb driving, played it,s part, and no delays in the pitstops ensured a thrilling race....The Dogs borrocks had a double in the latest round of World Superbikes, and Shaky Byrne came from 14th to 1st in the 2nd race of the British Superbikes, enthralling....
Gonna see if there are spaces available at PFI, sunday next, been a while....I replaced a leaky tap today...made a friend happy... wonder if the Queen reads this......
