Playtime@Buckmore.......

...Was so cooool!! the previous post could lead you to believe that the slickego team was a tad better than we were........Quali was the usual scramble to get a decent time, in the 20min window, with two unknown Karts, neither track or karts had been used since the previous day!! A damp track..... spins everywhere, and yellow flags, adrenaline takes over common sense!!!it`s only quali, and everyones in race mode??.... when the 20min was over, and calm reasserted, we had a 2nd, and 10th on the grid....it would seem we had a lemon in the 2nd kart..The Stallion started 2nd,Cap 10th...remember that damp patch on the second apex?.....splish,splash,splosh...we`re running 3rd/4th, It`s nightime, lots of racing wannabees, and 80mph karts.....the top, and bottom of the track continually had karts stuffed into the barriers, and the race was plagued by yellows.... some of the flags were stowed, and this meant an opportunity to pass...a robust defence, or a straight shove by the other kart, and usually you stayed where you were, however, it did come off ...sometimes...then more yellows...As the race progressed we found ourselves in 2nd/6th...this looked good...remember, 5man team, two karts, 24 min changes, two fuel stops....remember those yellows?? somehow the speedichick slid past someone as the yellow went up, black flag....nooooo!!... lost some time....stop arguing with the marshall....pleeaasse!......a little later, Speedy cocked up his fuel stop....more time lost....more seconds were slipping away on the changeovers, that seat insert of the cap`s, pedal settings.....some teams could fly into the pits without penalty.....late on in the race the peril got all excited, and posted the fastest lap...50.5something....in the end we had a podium for team 1, and 4th for team 2....our rivals were local, and had 2man teams....our leading kart was, according to the Buckmore website, 16 seconds behind the leader!!!....we were so hot!! take away our mistakes, and we would have had the lead by a lap!!! Enduro racing is so cool.....the next race we are planning here will be the 3, or the 6 hour....bring it on!!!

This was our second visit to Buckmore, and we are still learning about being a team, and this circuit.... today, we could have won....next time we will!!!!...........Yea Baby!!

Sunday 30 December 2007

We came, we saw , we conquered !!! .............almost Part 1

Its 2:17 now Sunday the 30th of December 2007 I have got in and done the most important thing I have done all day opened a peroni!!!! (And drank it obviously!) Now that, that is all done and dusted, back to the main point. Buckmore and what a day it was. Apart from the long journey that none of us can say that we liked (seemed like half an hour for me with all that sleep) once we arrived at the track we were ready for anything, even war if necessary. Although the track was free for at least 2 hours before there was any activity our spirits were not dampened by the fact that we could not have a quick blast round to find our feet.

Moving swiftly on to the important aspects of the day, qualifying! And the race! Qualifying went well with both karts in the top ten (2nd and 10th). Need I say any more? I think not.

THE RACE!!! or battle to the death if you will ( or till your hands fall off from gripping the dam thing so tight as u hang on fort dear life as it drives you round the track! )

the captain and I ( stallion! ) started the race within a few laps ( and fortunately uneventful ones at that as there were no spins as we both majestically flowed through all the mishaps and mayhem of the 1st corner! and the following laps ) we were in 3rd and 4th place respectively and were keeping up with the front runners which as far as we could tell have been there at least one more time than us, but given our skill and concentration levels we were keeping up and at points challenging them.

We kept our positions and before we knew it we could see speedy chick franticly waving boards and helmet bags while shouting Obscenities at us and our 24 minutes were up. To be continued..............................

Thursday 27 December 2007

Men don`t feel the cold.........

So we understand.... sun the 23rd....... black ice at Pfi, gloomy with freezing fog..... speedy was unimpressed after the first race.. the speedichick even more so.... it was bitter..... the cap, of course was serene, in his Captain America outfit....yea right!! no quali for the cap, problem with the throttle....his race.... last to 12th... conditions were vicious... but 19 die hards had a go, and if you ignored the cold, it was fun....both speedy, and the`chick had a tough time, being bumped of the circuit, and in those conditions, it was very difficult to make up the time.....Race 2, reverse grid, it was a tad warmer...(ha ha!!) heading into the first few laps, the chick was making ground in front of the cap... but the guy in the lead was a little rough, and shunted her into the tyres/grass,.... the cap tried to capitalise but had a half spin, in the complex, generated by pansie-breath, which killed the progress, as we had a battle for quite a while, until he put himself off, and left me alone....yea!!.... for the first time the cap had speedy, and the`chick behind in both races...not due to his skill, but the atrocious conditions.. It was followed by a cold awards ceremony.... so many congratulations from the other slickegos on your 4th place in the Big Guns championship, to the Speedychick...Yea Baby!!!

Merry Christmas...

quote; `This can`t really be what life is all about... learning how to live..just to live without'

Guys , a merry christmas from the cap, thanks for some coooool karting experiences this year...
To the peril, who leaves for distant lands soon....to the stallion, a man of passion...to the speedichick, a determined lady... to speedy, a man of heart...

Someone told me.....

that Lewis has been banned from driving in France... well fuck-em!! Lewis, what the hell are you doing driving in france anyway? You are not a member of the golden team, renault, call me a cynic, but if you were, a police escort would be at your beck, and call mate!!! Not that I would accuse the frogs of any kind of bias.........
The other golden team of Cap, and Speedy were in fine form, on Sunday night, from 9th on the grid we fought 16 others for supremacy, and the worlds smallest trophy was the prize!!!
AS is the custom we awaited the mid race punch-up, but, happily everyone stayed calm, and we had a race to the finish...... Speedy had the first stint, showing great finesse, as he barged his way past everyone, lots of local yellows, and the occasional full yellow, allowed young Clarke to close up to Speedy, and overtake , he was in dynamite form, and also set the track record, in the high 40sec for chrissakes!!!!! Speedy kept in touch `til the change over.......The peril, and Stallion were having an off day with a kart that had a misfire, although peril showed great speed initially......Stallion as is normal now, developed a new illness to explain the poor form........
The cap had a stint-long battle with two fists Pat, who although not in contention provided an immense amount of fun as we swapped places, and practised our parallel turns... Clarke senior was on track at this point, and we sailed past him to take the lead, and this left young clarke in a dilemma... should he pinch dad`s time, and change...hmmm.... of course he will, the selfish twat!!!! Cost him time..... but the cap was up for it, despite frantic signals from Speedy, we won with a nice little margin...Yea!! Two-fists posted the track record for a short time, until young Clarke managed to shave a few 100`s off it, well done guys.... but the worlds smallest trophies belonged to the slickegos... yea baby!!!!

Finally

At long last the FIA (Fucking Idiots Association) appear to have got bnored of bullying Mclaren and let them get on with next years car, the MP4-23.

But it seems the French, dont as Lewis Hamilton was stopped by Police on the motorway and has had his licence suspended for a month and has to pay a fine.

He was only doing 120mph. Good Lad!

Great Race

Cheers to the Cpt for giving me the call, " Be there at 8 or else ". Was truly worth it. Two great Iron-Man 30's with around 13 other karts on circuit. Il keep it short and sweet for the Cpt to add later.
Race one, quali 1-2 and all was gravey till about 10 laps in when i was put into the wall by someones emergancy avoidence. Oh well, started to fight to close the gap to the Cpt but was delayed several further times and finnished +6.203secs adrift. FL: Cpt = 41.820 Speedy = 41.680

Race Two, i decided to mount the new camera and only did 2 laps of qulai but got 4th, Cpt 1st.
Got up to 2nd and behind the Cpt after 3 laps, and then went about getting past him. Managed it and then he got me 2 laps later. This carried on for the entirtiy of the race with us going every which way past backmarkers, we couldnt of devised any more overtaking places. By the end i was in the lead and had made a gap of 2.172. FL: Speedy = 41.718 Cpt = 41.775
Great!

Fed Up

Im getting sick of this spy scandal! Why cant Ferrari let this go. Its now almost certain that next years Mclaren wont be anything like this years because of the loss of development, even for a day is a disaster, let alone having to dismiss development work just to please the FIA/Ferrari. Why Ferrari has made it this personal is beyond me and everyone else.

The gap between seasons was always about new drivers, new talent, new cars, car launches, winter testing etc. But thats gone out of the window. At this rate id rather watch NASCAR than F1!

Lets just put Jean Todt and Ron in a ring with a knife, and winners the one who kills the other.

Unfortunately...

...the legendary dutch racing team, Racing For Holland, will be closing its doors at the end of year. Team owner Jan Lammers has been given the oppertunity to race the Van Merksteijn Motorsport's brand new Porsche RS Spyder in next years LMS the Le Mans 24 Hours and selected ALMS races. This accompanied by heavy financial troubles for RFH will mean the end of the under-dog Dutch team. But as ever he vows to fight on and says RFH will be back.

PS: no more long peices...

...Please

Hello....

We`re about to rock!!! yeaa.......

Does this man.........

have cause to be afraid???

FREE SPEACH in speedy quest for freee speech i am re posting this.

In February 2007, Stepney made public comments regarding his "unhappiness" following the team’s reorganization which resulted from Ross Brawn’s departure.
I am looking at spending a year away from Ferrari, I'm not currently happy with the situation within the team - I really want to move forward with my career and that's something that's not happening right now. Ideally, I'd like to move into a new environment here at Ferrari - but if an opportunity arose with another team, I would definitely consider it”
Later that month, Ferrari announced another change in the team structure which saw Stepney appointed as head of Team Performance Development: "After many years spent working on the Formula One circuits, the last 13 of those as part of the Ferrari Race Team, Nigel Stepney, with the approval of the company, has chosen to take on a different role that will see him no longer have to attend the races

The main point that you seem to think that Ferrari should have been punished. I am not discounting the fact that a member of the Ferrari team was caught (by Ferrari originally) cheating and by definition means: “Cheating is defined as an act of lying, deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition. Cheating characteristically is employed to create an unfair advantage, usually in one's own interest, and often at the expense of others. Cheating implies the breaking of RULES.”
In this situation by cheating I mean giving help to another team which in this case was Mclaren. The way in which Stepney was cheating was to have made a copy of a Ferrari document which he gave to Coughlan of Mclaren.
Ferrari were unaware that their technical information had been STOLEN until they received a tip from an employee in a photocopying shop. Now, once Stepney steels the document (taking it off site without permission) he is breaking Ferrari’s team laws and principles. Subsequently voiding his membership of the Ferrari team. Due to Stepney acting alone and not coercing (yess any one with any conscience would have needed forcing with some pressure to commit such an atrocity) any members of the Ferrari team to act with him.
Definition of team being: A team comprises any group of people or animals linked in a common purpose.
Subsequently the Ferrari team were not helping Mclaren through the form of cheating. However Stepney was.
What we don’t know is the motive? Going on what Stepney had said, we can only assume he acted out of bitterness and wanted revenge. (Revenge for what? not getting what he wanted? not getting something that was never his………sounds rather diluded to me)
Coughlan of Mclaren was in possession of 780 pages of Ferrari documentation, and his wife is alleged to have taken them to a photocopying shop near Woking to make more copies which (due to the fact they were attempting to make copies of it ) we can only assume and with good reason they were planning on distributing around the Mclaren base.
For Ferrari to cheat it would be rather irrational. Why would a team who wants to win the world championship want to help through the act of cheating another team? This is irrational and as you read it does not make sense does it?
This brings us to a nice analogy.
Why would smart students cheat in a test? Why would the joint favourites (along with Mclaren) cheat to win the world championship? why break a fundemental rule? Doesn’t make sense does it?
We can now revert to the FIA for some closure on the issue. The FIA issued a statement detailing its reasons behind the sanctions imposed on McLaren. In the statement, the FIA said that emails between the McLaren drivers PROVED that the British-based team used information leaked from title rivals Ferrari. (By Stepney who acted alone) The FIA statement also said "The emails show unequivocally that both Mr. Alonso and Mr. de la Rosa received confidential Ferrari information via Mike Coughlan. Both drivers knew that this information was confidential Ferrari information and that both knew that the information was being received by Coughlan from Nigel Stepney.
Due to the data being used, and due to it being used by De La Rosa we we can assume that it had helped in the development of the car through testing. Therefore the whole team became involved.
Im going to stop now so I can get a head start on the mobs that will be inevitably be chasing after me with pitch forks, but il leave u with this quote from David Hume
“Truth springs from argument amongst friends”
and I think it just has.

Finally!

Before i go onto some great news, i have some bad news.

Firstly, Stallions great 1000 word long speech on ferraris greatness has had to be deleted purely because its just too long for the blogs wellbeing. Sorry.

Secondly, ( To FIA ) I wish the fucking FIA would get a grip of that power mad twat Mosely and leave Mclaren alone for at least 1 month. How can any team in the world make a championship winning car, when they have a twat like him breathing down their necks as well as the French Frogs Renault?!?!?!?!.....

Thirdly, ( Also to FIA ) ...and Martin Brundle!? Where did the freedom of speech go in Formula 1?? FIA not only fine F1 Teams but theyve now moved onto journalists. Yes some of them are rats with microphones, but at least they actually put some thought and mind into it rather than just think " Right, who can we sue next? ". Thank God for Club racing! ( eg: no FIA involved! )

Now the bad stuffs out of the way, i am over the moon that Porsche have finally taken notice of the uberkind under there noses and given our Richard Westbrook a Factory Driver Status. Something tells me he will be unstoppable when he gets into GT2 racing against Ferrari!

Next for Priaulx!

Speedy :D

Someone told me........

That Martin Brundle is being sued by the FIA for libel, `cos he said that they are persecuting Mclaren, he actually said this prior to the hearing in Sept. the significance here is that the latest news that Renault, found GUILTY of possessing, Mclaren info, are not to be punished, what?? eh?? Brundle feels that the FIA are sending out a warning to other journo`s to be carefull what they write, the FIA have apparently written, and complained about Brundle, saying his tv commentary is`nt up to standard, well I loathe the media for the whole intrusiveness they seem to think is their right, but I still believe in freedom of speech, so I have to live with it, So does everyone else, this includes the asswipe Mosley, remember Max your family history could be used against you, and who will cry `witch-Hunt' then.

Rational thinking. 2

so that argument was good but not great however and this is the killer point , wat did ferrari gain frome the situatation , are u implying that it was orgonised as a sting to get mclaren thrown out ? That would be ridicuclas as why would ferrari want to loose risking the championship like that ? and geting lots of bad press which we dont want as it may comprimise our position with sponsors,
was this aimed to be to their advantage? NO wat is the aim of cheating , the aim of cheating is to gain advantage WAT ADVANTAGE WAS FERRARI TO GAIN? none if they had been implicated they would have been treated the same. The fact of the matter is that mclaren cheated (gained from receiving documentation from stepney) and they gained from it without considering how much they gained they did subsequently this falls under the term cheating.

Stallion (I will fight to the death ........or till u realise how wrong you are.)

Somebody I know.....

Has written an essay on the blog, feel secure, Stallion, no mobs with pitchforks here!.....As a keen motorsport fan I find your argument to be based on the word `team', and nothing else so....taking that a little further.... just because no one was proven to have assisted Stepney, does`nt mean no one else was involved from Ferrari, then we talk about the `team' mclaren,.... as events have since shown, the mclaren `team' consisted of Coughlan, Alonso, and de la Rosa, for a company of over 800 employees, this, so, so, guilty `team' is remarkably compact, and we are aware that Alonso was hanging onto his info to use as leverage, the fact that de la Rosa is still with the team suggests that his info was, perhaps, very limited, so we get back to guilty of what?? 3 employees at Mclaren, 1, possibly more at Ferrari, are disgruntled, documents changed hands, and definitely some verbal info on a hinged undertray, hmmmmm...... that tray was illegal, yes?......But at the crunch, where is the lack of bias within the FIA, punish by all means, ANY infringements, but let`s make sure everyone gets their ass kicked, Renault are linked ......£50million.....Williams/BMW cool fuel...£25 million.... Alonso, the fucking pansie! £10 million....Todt, for being French...£200 million........................................yea!!! yea!!!
We will never know what the docs contained, and I think it matters little, what I think is important here... is a soon to retire top motorsport journo, has, in the past, written more about the wrongdoings by teams within the F1 paddock, without bias,( he even blew the whistle when Colin Chapman was being a naughty boy) takes no prisoners, his opinion has weight amongst all the teams....... the team he has written most about their wrongdoings over the last 25 years is .......wait for it.... yesss you guessed it............. FEFUCKINGRRARI!!!! Yea Baby!!

Someone told me.......

Its a damp Sunday in December, its deceptive, driving down the A1, looks like it will be a dri-ish race at Pfi...yea......what a load of bollocks!!! hit Newark and the wet shite is everywhere!!
Another test for the slickegos team, which due to various wusses, needing to wash their hair, and buff their nails, consisted of speedy, and the cap........ 10 teams...quali 2nd with a 1:15 lap....pole, half a second faster!! Single file start, got the lead.....yea...for a lap.... going well for 10 laps or so, sllliiidde, shit!! keep going.... backmarkers, clearly annoyed at being overtaken, for the 6th or 7th time....... little contact.. road rage.. tried to take the cap off.. bust his wheel on a kerb...obviously the cap`s fault.... speedy was awesome with his nearly controlled powerslides...too many little slides from the cap put us in a distant 3rd, same lap as winners, but 3rd.......jaw muscles aching with laughing....cool race.
Dashed back up the A1 to PPIK for a promotional enduro of 90mins.... snappers, and PR guys...
Good turnout of regulars with a few new teams.....rolling start, from 9th.....peril, directly ahead... top kart, we were flying.....2nd in 20 mins...only the peril, who omitted to mention that he was solo....we were parallel for lap after lap, enjoying it too much to really push for the total lead...what`s this at the chicane...karts stopped all over the place... bodies everywhere...fists flying!!!.. We pulled up to mayhem... Pat K. quiet pleasant guy, trading blows with one of the new team guys...Pat???... `course this upset dad, John.K...... lots of verbal.... but the guy thought he was hatton , and was throwing kicks, and punches everywhere, so like hatton he was picked up, by the helmet, and sat on his ass, worthless shite!!!!....The red mist is usually a brief thing, however this was just daft... they took an early bath, and we finished the race... still had great fun... cool moment was outbreaking Dawn into the hairpin, she only weighs 7stone, and is soooo fast, she was laughing in her helmet all the way down the pit straight.....finished 2nd.. had a good day, despite the asswipes...bring on the next race...Yea Baby!!"

Someone told me.....unsung heroes!!

If someone had told me at the beginning of the season we would have 3 british champions on the world stage, as well as the most convincing gonnabe ever I would have had my doubts.......

Andy Priaulx, top tin topper, the guy overcame all the odds, and secured a great 4th title(the first was the european title) Anywhere else except this country, he would be idolised, and need bodyguards, A fantastic achievment, and he tops my list of unsung heroes........ followed by James Toseland, even his team did`nt want him to win his first title, the double dealing Ducati bastards, but he did, and they dropped him as soon as possible!!! But Tenkate gave him the machinery, and he did it again, albeit making us wait `till the last moment...James....

Finally, a guy who should have had the champ car title that Montoya craftily took....history now....switched to Indy, and despite flipping the car twice in the most spectacular fashion, he finally got the title with a race in hand.. way to go Dario Franchitti.... yea Baby!!

Someone told me.....Eh?????

Someone told me that no further action will be brought against Renault....... Frankly, I am puzzled. What on earth is going on?? First they drop the cool fuel thing, and now this... well I`m sorry, but this makes the FIA look as though, with the help of Ferrari, they(the FIA) had a personal vendetta against Mclaren, as if this was the only team that should be punished for ANY alleged rule breaking. Time after time the point was made that, (by many respected journalists) STEPNEY made the first move, so why were`nt Ferrari punished in the same way, as Mclaren?? This new business is making Max, and his crew look decidely biased, and I`m sure that Mclaren will have a posse of gifted lawyers waiting for the first opportunity to exact revenge..... this of course, will take place alongside their total domination of the next season!!!!Yea Baby!!

Sunday 2 December 2007

Someone spotted a slickego@A1GP....Sepang!

Due to a busted jumbo (which they politely declined my help to fix) the captain found himself with a 24hr extension to his stay in Malaysia. The A1gp was at Sepang, and the opportunity.........Yea !!!!! The rolling start was a cool intro to the proceedings, but the standing start was pedestrian in comparison, and although the lap times are some way off the F1 , the opportunity to draft, and have a go into the corners made up for the ultimate lack of speed/power. The real buzz, for me was the accessibility of the circuit, I could sit/stand anywhere, and actually explore the stand, which is HUGE, get close to the cars, especially the final haipin where the deceleration, and the late braking is awesome to watch, and, aurally, it touches on an emotional level..... Yea Baby!!!!

Friday 23 November 2007

Duo goes from pole to flag.

Sunday 100 - 18th November 2007
Team - Kevin and Amanda
100 minute race as very wet and eventually it was dark.
Managed to get pole position and lead from start to finish.
Another team trophy to add to the collection!

Someone told me........

The slickego captain is just about to dive in a filthy hole called Tampi-tampi, rescue parties should be sent in only after midnight! sightings of poisonous sea snakes, tiger sharks, and all things venomous abound here, so it is very cool...............However, should we not survive this murky encounter, all debts are to be paid to the home for battered children, which, incidentally is my address!! yea baby!!!!!......

Sunday 18 November 2007

Someone once told me ..................

Someone once told me to buy a karting wet suit. (I mention no names but Captain you have been right!) Me who doesnt really like the rain because I cant travel fast thought 'No... It wont be raining much when Im racing!'. Doh. As I sit here waiting for the clock to turn down to kick off for this afternoons Sunday 100 and I'm now regretting it. I am now thinking the investment would be worth it and will probably have an order in my the end of the day. But knowing Sods Law. If I get one it wont rain. What A genius idea!

Slickegos@Buckmore round 2

Do as you are told!!!

The news is all good, we have secured two karts at Buckmore Park for a two hour enduro, on Sat Dec 29, it`s identical to the 3hr, in every respect apart from the length of time. It begins in the early evening, so a floodlit race, which posed few problems last time out. As before we`ll race as a 5man team in two karts, in (suggestions are welcome) approx. 2x 24 min stints, with a 30 min quali, which should work out at 12 min each. If everyone is home, we can all pile into the veeduubya, and roadtrip the hell down sarf, keeps costs down, food,n, red bulls in the coolbox, the russian navy male voice choir on the `player, the sat-nav that places you a mile away from your destination........I took the liberty of hiring thunderkarts, which makes it a little more expensive, but as it is a mixture of pro, and thunderkarts we may be glad of a bit more power!!!

We are hoping for a dry race, but it is winter, so expect it to be cold,n wet!! Anyone with any suggestions, contact the captain, I`ll be glad to ignore anything.........

Yea Baby!!!

Somebody told me.....

......well Iread it on an Autosport forum really, that the loyal spaniard, will be paid by Mclaren, but not allowed to drive for them , or anyone, in the next season. I also read in Autosport that it was back in Melbourne, that another loyal employee, whispered to another, even more loyal employee ` hey, Nick , the flexible undertray on our car, it`s probably illegal', and the reply was `thanks Nige, I`ll mention it to the FIA, probably gonna cost you some points, and a $100mil fine' `no probs, Nick what`s right is right, right???'...... the rest is history, and the saga continues.. Stepney was the original bad boy, and forgive me for being naive, so how is it when he went even further, by supplying documents relating to the plumbing in the motorhome ( specifically the part about how to suck shit out of drivers, pre-race, less weight, worth 1000th sec per lap.......) It all ended up being the fault of Mclaren with the now legendary penalties!!!

Such is the level of the precedent been set, that future penalties, for ANY infringement will have to be, by default, equally draconian, this could destroy some of the lesser teams!! We need those teams!! Todt, the po-faced bastard, siting there all pompous, and righteous, should have negotiated a settlement early doors, and let it lie........Ferrari are now in the position they have been , for a long time, using ANY means possible to flex the media, creating dissent where none existed, and FXXK the racing!!!

On a lighter note.............. the Speedichick points out that the fuel per litre is almost £1 , in Skegness, sadly the rollerskate, which, inexplicably, is called max, may have to be converted to biodeisel, or be towed around the east coast, or join the AA, and be carried around on their trucks, for £52 per year!!!!!

Saturday 3 November 2007

99.9

As I was driving past tesco's today to my horror the petrol had gone up to 99.9p per litre!
If we were to go into Supermarkets and my pertol in Catoons like the one above. Would we really buy it at 99.9p each??????

SCANDALL!!!!

Someone tell me.........

......what they think of this last season of F1, not as a comment, but a post............Some topics.......Was the whole of Stepney gate a clever piece of manipulation by Ferrari?........Are you over the hill as an F1 driver after 30?............should the aero be dumped?... Are the penalties handed out in F1 even handed?, Iremind you of the observer in the Mclaren pit in Sao Paolo.............Is it racing>>>>>?..........The vast amounts of money, in F1, compared to other areas of Motorsport, is there corruption???..... post under the banner`someone told me...'
let`s see how long the thread can last............Yea Baby!!

I can see it now.. the call from vodaphone offering unlimited sponsorship....celebs sucking up....autograph hunters... suckup celeb management team.... who,s available??mmmmmmm...although the possibilities are endless, the team must remain calm.... no visits to the beauttiful nails salon yet, or booking the entire sessions of 'fasttan'.........watch this space!!!Posted by Picasa

Enjoy!

WHAT AM I TOO DO???????????

My boyfriend to be, is leaving the Country. What am I too do???

Switzerland of all places. Typical. Men!

How do you get Skegness and Switzerland so mixed up?

Somebody told me............

That you can`t giggle, and drive a kart in the wet, they were absolutely right.......but you can have the biggest bloody grin on your face!!!!.....................If I spun once, again, and again, and again................it was fun, not good for championship aspirations, but tremendous fun nonethless.
The Speedychick was unlucky with the weather, as it effectively needs retirements in the final round for a podium..... Speedy just beats the steering in frustration, as , with a big grin on his face, he sails past the captain toward the first hairpin, and....................carries on sailing...
the captain had the exalted position of first for about 3laps, and then wilted under pressure!!!...gradually dropping down the order.... the Beard, who was not looking forward to a wet race, as it was his 1st visit to pfi, ended up having a ball.....
The second race was much like the first, although it had stopped raining, but more, if possible, slippery than before!!
Post race, it was good to see so many smiling faces, had a moment with someone who thought leaning into me would be intimidating, as if , I explained , `I was in control.......'
On a final note, as I won`t be available for transport to the final, you guys should think of getting organised, Stallion take note...............Yea Baby!!!!!

Someone told me...........

I love the `someone told me' theme, however, the day has arrived , so the topic has to change, all new ideas are welcome. Just had a ball in the new karts at ppik, slow, but sooooo new, me`n' Speedy doing parallel turns lap, after lap, until the other 18 players got in the way, coool!!

The dream of running your own F1 team!

I was thinking with it being the end of the season, how cool would it be to have and run your own F1 team, just like Jackie Stewart and Eddie Jordan. It is only when you start looking at this side that you realise that F1 is pure and simply only a business. The excitement and adrenaline that makes it a sport is bit a side and finical decisions are made.

Main Point to you all is; 'Super Aguri has posted a £4.5 million loss in first year'.

How does a company consume that loss?? Super Aguri is one of the smallest teams, it has fewer than 100 staff - compare that to Ferrari with 1,000 on payroll! How can you possibly compete? How long have Toyota now been in F1? They even took a year before they entered while they were testing the car. They have one of the biggest budgets but where are the results I ask??? (Personally if I was running the team I wouldn't have had Schumacher - what an underachievement, living in the shadows of a highly successful brother - he really had no chance).

So I write this blog to ask others to post their views and feelings on running an F1 team. What would you change if you could?

To start it off – I would change;-
1. Would have got rid of R Schumacher out of Toyota.
2. Would have got rid of crappy Fischella out of Renault.
3. Give Anthony Davison a better car – what a cracking job he has done for Super Aguri this season. Please someone give him a chance next season.

Home Again !:!:!

Im having a quick break from riding horses, looking after BrickHanger (who at present is not feeling well), the all important cleaning of state kit and of course the dreaded and hated Jack Boots!
In my 36 or so hours of freedom i will be of course be at PPIK on the saturday and then resume normal service of beeing up at the crack of dawn to head down to PFI with my faithful team-mate the Cpt.
Once again we shall do battle with the locals and regulars of the circuit, but we shall be joined by the good man "J" as he shall bve known till we get a proper alias for him ;-).

It should be another thrilling fight, especially as the weather seems that it may suit ducks wearing rain-coats rather than 20+ mad heads who like going very fast in un-driveable conditions. Fun and Joy for Me because as soon as i finnish and dry off a little bit shall be briskly back to London in preperation for the upcoming Escort of King Abdula (????) and the Royal Banquet of which i shall be a part of as the staircase party. Joy

I tried to post an image of my faithful steed but as im in transit as i write this, my internet is not fast enough. Ill try once i get a better connection.

======Speedy

Somebody told me.......

In good faith I said the weather would be good at PFI, well guess what.............. I am wrong it`s GONNABESHITE!!!! so bring it on, wusses need not come, but wetsuits are available from the Pf lockerroom, yea baby!

This Weekend....

We go to Pfi for the penultimate round of the `Big Guns' championship, we hope for decent weather,THE BBC SAYS IT BLOODY WELL WILL BE!!ALRIGHT!! and a decent Kart............. the stallion, bless him, cannot make it, but as he made rude remarks about my shorts..... I don`t care.......Speedy is making one in, but the Peril is on her majesty`s service.... she who is not blond, will be hoping to get the drop on b4u as 3rd place in the championship is at stake!!! There has to be a deal on the table for softening his tyres..........
I just don`t care,.... its Fun.. its exciting ......its as good as a very good thing!!!
I hope to play in the new Karts at PPIK sat night , any one wishing to join, call me.

The Pfi marshalls/mechanics deserve a little praise, and I`m gonna buy `em a drink at xmas, anyone wants to tip in, let me know. THE CLOCKS GO BACK THIS SAT NIGHT< YOU HAVE AN XTRA HOUR, don`t forget or it`s a long trackwalk, as I know somone who can get it wrong in the middle of the day, that person, aka dozy s........ remember!!!!!!

Somebody told me .........................

The Fan

Post etiquette

This dialogue is great, keep it up !!!, However, lets have it in english for the non-text audience amongst us, yes???
Monty, I see is stirring the pot, which is poor grace after getting his slice of cake, and eating it!
Just a thought, was it not a signed, and contracted Ferrari man who stepped over the line in the first place? Have the punishments handed out, this year, been more draconian than before? Don`t forget when a sport becomes popular because of its off-track dramas, rather than the sport, who loses most??? me, the fan!!!!!!!!

How can he say it??!!

"In the end sport's justice prevailed." mr montezemolo

I dont understand how the owner of a team such as ferrari can even contemplate saying such a thing like this when his team was 100% involved in the spy scandal. And when his team is constantly battering the FIA with complaints about Mclaren.

Mclaren has been like a boat trying to sail through solid ice to win the fight for the championship. Theyve had un-relenting media preasure, FIA bombardments, Ferrari, the (spanish self-indulgent twat) alonso, the loss of the certain manufacturers title, the fight to gain sponsorship and the struggle to keep its identity intact.

Mclaren is run not just as a Motorracing outfit but also as a buissness that needs to uphold a reputation as being one of the well run and established bussnesses in the world.

This was a post to display my utter anger and frustration of this last F1 season

PPIK

It`s official, the new Karts are in use at Ppik, it`s early days so we can`t expect too much, however, I`m hoping to have a practice sometime this week. Anyone up for joining me give me a call. A day or two will be required to shake them down, but for a while at least they will perform equally, a good opportunity to see where we`re at in terms of lap times............
Saturday night, last, I ran with an iron man, had what was the best kart in a while............best lap, 41.3, a full second faster than thursday night!! well done to John the manager for working on the tuning!! yea baby!!

Sunday 21 October 2007

I think we all know what im going to say here , so im not even going to bother , i am just going to leave you with these words ;

CHAMPIONE CHAMPIONE OLE OLE OLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roll on next year.

Stallion

Motorsport

The F1 season is about to end, no doubt, in an acrimonious way, which will generate more publicity, and draw even more sponsorship `cos even bad news generates money!!! It would appear that even at the last minute attempts are being made to put spanners in Mclarens collective works, how many spurious regulations are they going to drag up before the start of the race, is someone going to steal Alonso`s lollipop, or Kimi`s favourite `ignorant' tune, causing them to cry `foul' as they fail to live up to the their expectations??????
It would be great , if, historically, Ferrari were whiter than white, but they`re not, never have been, never will be, it was Englishmen, not Italians who moulded what was a dysfunctional team, with a plutocrat at it`s head, into the uber team you see now, but several of the key Englishmen have moved on, and now Ferrari, have dropped back into the dirty air, ironically with the help of Englishmen, and this will not go away. Next season , despite what happens today, will begin with the endless discussions, on `being gifted the championship' or` back stabbin` Alonso'...................who no doubt will be in the arms of Don papa Flavio, bottom lip on the floor, everytime his teamate pisses on his chips!!! the acrimony will continue, all next season. Some of the swords drawn this season will be sharpened, people who were cordial before will be bitchin`, the name calling will be loud, long...... I`m thinking of Mosley, Stuart, Montelezumo, all people who feel their words are more valid..........................enough! I depress myself, thank god for moto gp, world superbikes, and obvious prima donnas like, Biaggi, Bayliss, Rossi, all soon to retire, alas, for these guys at least have a little character.............. Bernie Ecclestone will, if it were possible, have reaped even greater rewards, both financially, and publically, for what has become his life`s work, P T Barnum, was from the 19th century, and he was an uber showman, Bernie is the 21st century equivalent!!!!!

Formula 1 !!!

The whole of the formula 1 season comes down to 1 race. The Brazilian grand prix at Interlagos. The title can be won by 1 of 3 drivers, Kimi, Alonso and the favourite Lewis Hamilton. Kimi has nothing to loose so we can presume he’s going to go hell for leather for the win. However Hamilton and Alonso can both win without divine intervention as a necessity for the victory of the world championship. All we can hope is that it’s an interesting race and not a procession from pole position to the finish line.

Which one of these men will become world champion?

(If all goes well it could be Kimi.)

Sunday 100@PFI

A beautiful autumn day, a willing trio of racers, the yellow peril, speedichick, supported by the captain, a decent kart, and some stiff competition! The recipe was hot, with strong ingredients, spiced up by a dry track, and pole position. The lead see-sawed between the top three teams, we had the largest team, but coupled to an inspired strategy, we regained first toward the end, and at the chequered flag we had it by 11 seconds. A good effort by the slickegos, and well done team!!!

Saturday 13 October 2007

New Karts at PPIK

Guys the new karts have arrived!!! We are all familiar with the Buckmore sodi kart layout, well Pole has opted for the same, sad to say, with a weedier engine, 200cc Honda with an undetermined amount of horses! Astonishment!!! A Kart I, can fit without huge inserts, obviously the designer, is a man who apreciates, that compact means quality!! Pics to follow.

Monday 8 October 2007

Shanghai, and Toseland

Another great (read wet) race in the F1 championship, The Farce which is the constructors championship, behind us, (If Ferrari actually call this a win for them it beggars belief) it gets down to the racers, and just as the most astonishing rookie(a horrible americanism) in the history of F1, is poised to take the championship, Mclaren the team, FxxxK it up for him, bigstyle!!!!! Hamilton will probably in the course of events will see it as a bit of bad luck, but to motor racing fans, it only increases the anticipation for the next event, as we get a three way battle, surely these guys will RACE , for the title, perhaps overcoming the logical way of racing F1 cars, and trying something wild, and entertaining!!!! (personally, it would be much more fun if Hamilton fails this year, and attacks next year with increased vigour, bring it on!!!)

Toseland you drive me crazy!!!!! Again you have pole, 1st race again you get tagged, Why did you have to make it so agonising..............Thanks, great to watch.
2nd race, yes, you did`nt have to win, just keep out of trouble, finish in the top 10, which, thankfully you did, well done to James, 2nd World Superbike Championship to his career, I love races like these, where the commentators lose it, and the tension is really high!!!!!!!!

Andy Priaulx.......... Bad luck has certainly singled him out.......... no points at Monza....... Yvan Muller tied on points.............. Macau......... the crazy circuit......... who has the least success ballast??? Rear wheel, front wheel drive...........petrol...... Deisel..............Showdown.

One of the great races of the world, The Bathurst was run this weekend, a fantastic road race, between gas guzzlin` V8`s, if you`ve never seen it...........watch the re-runs this winter!!!!
Yea Baby!!!

Wednesday 3 October 2007

Fuji, and Toseland

What a fun race the GP was from Fuji full of incident, and bravery(some would call it foolhardy, fxxk`em) Alonso making mistakes he can ill afford................, Heiki making Kimi work for it.............., Vettel upsetting the Aussie....................... the director must have had a dislocated neck trying to figure it out!! this is what racing could be like if they binned most of the aero, and we`d all be sat there with `did you see.......' or `look at that..... ' Come on Mosely make them have it!!!!!
Toseland is so Frustrating.............. Falls off during his pole lap, falls off in race 2, still manages to grab some points for 11th, 4th in race 1, what a guy!! If this guy does`nt win this championship I will be so pissed, i`m sure he will, but there are days.........................When he gets to motogp, next year, I am really hoping that he gets a good bike, a good team, with a good budget, but most of all, I hope he does better than the Aussie, Bayliss!!!!!!!!

Bit of Buckmore

Due to the tardiness of Speedy gaining an internet connection we have few photos of the racing at Buckmore Park, so the message there is everybody bring a camera!! My own camera hardly saw the light of day, so apologies for that. We are officially in the wet season, and the outdoor racing will be full of fun, as we slither around the track at PFI, but what would it be like on the bottom bend at Buckmore?????or the approach!!! If we can raise enough interest to have a go at the six hour races, I heard the race director say that rain is allways a possibility at Buckmore, so bring it on!!
The dates at Pfi to take note of are; 14th Oct, Sun 100, one team booked, allways a possibility of dropouts if anyone wants to risk the journey; 28th Oct regular Iron man event; 25th Nov regular Iron man event; 9th Dec Sun 100, one team booked, anyone else ready to commit, contact the captain, or Pfi direct; 23rd Dec, fun Iron man, cool way to begin xmas!! The captain is booked, if you want a space, book early!
Had my karting fix last week in a couple of iron man 40`s, no bruises, definitely some new recruits, and despite poor lap times, very enjoyable. Rumours abound at PPIK about the imminent arrival of new petrol karts, only 200cc, but geared correctly, we should see some sub-40 sec laps again, Yea Baby!! I will of course, keep you all informed how the test session goes...................................

Sunday 30 September 2007

Yey

Speedy here! with my newly purchased laptop and conveniently (is that spelt correctly speedy-chick?) purchased wi-fi connector, i can now get internet access! So there wont just be one person writing on the blog. lol

Birthday egos

The slickegos have birthdays this week, both could be described as rites of passage, with the Stallion, achieving his 18th, I suppose he is ripe for stud!!, and the captain achieves his half century, so he could be put out to pasture!! Either way, we celebrate their days, and the captain wants to know where the big pressie is hidden! Coooooool!

Monday 24 September 2007

PFI, and PPIK

We had a pleasant road trip to a hazy kind of Pfi, the stallion managed to stay awake the whole trip, denying the captain the oppotunity to listen to his favourite artistes, Shedaisy. The road trip was full of snoring on the return leg!!
Having not informed Pfi of his intention to participate, the Stallion was given the only kart left, and had a torrid time, consoled only slightly by gaining pole position in the second race!!!!!
We had 27 karts on track, and by now, with the guys being so even, the races are all about little mistakes which are capitalised on hungrily, and with much glee by all the racers!!! Mr B4U is much loved for his robust methods of overtaking, however the combined resources of the speedychick, and the `peril were sufficient to rein in his enthusiasm, and The speedychick ended the day with 2nd overall, another fantastic result!!!!! The enthusiastic approach of another driver, pushed the captain into an awkward moment with yet another racer, who went off, and subsequently complained, no opportunity to make amends presented itself, so we look forward to the next event! As the season has progressed, and the drivers get to know each other, there is less antagonism, and much more cameraderie, laughter, talking, between races, apologies, handshakes, ( a little muttering about Pansies) and afterward in the bar, which makes it a very cool way to spend Sunday a.m. Thanks, once again to Pete for engineering, my pedals mk2, makes the racing even more fun. YEA BABY!!!!!!
PPIK, same day, a few hours later.................... Captain no mates participated in a 2 hour enduro, luckily, roadie no mates, was available, and the printers father, and son team, were our true competition. Two young couples who have taken to karting, like a wolf to meat, were also involved, and a mixed group of teams , 12 in total, squirmed around the track on cold tyres, and game on!!!! Daddy printer had the lead in 5 corners! we were back in 10th, and the roadie was on his ass within 10 laps, places were swapped throughout the first stint, and when the captain started his stint we were in the lead!!!, Bad luck hit the printers, and the kart clutch blew, and they dropped several laps, however for entertainment, the captain squeezed the son of printer, as he unlapped himself, and was turned into a spin, which served him right. After a pretty clean race with only 2or3 yellows, the glory lap was led by the captain, but the TROPHIES went to the 3rd place team as we were considered to be too experienced for trophies!!! Good fun though, and congrats to the others who took part, but bollocks to the asswipe who pushed me off under the bridge, and buggered off into the pits realising, I could retaliate!!! oh please!

Saturday 22 September 2007

Moto GP

The media, constantly searching for ways of stirring up the fans, with stories based on half-truths, or more likely, rumour, would have us believe that the Rossi, has given up! Well anyone watching the championship last year at this time would Know better, this guy NEVER gives up, even now he would rather put it into a wall than yield a place if he can possibly hold onto it!!!So, to the media we say, `it ain`t over `til the fat lady sings' Yea Baby.
Speedy is still struggling with a chest infection, that he manfully overcame for the Buckmore event, and is feeling a little low due to his pet cat having died, well I`m with you man, and so is all the team. It would seem the Stallion is also under the weather, and we wish him a quick recovery.
Brands Hatch this weekend for the WTCC, watch out for Andy Priaulx, who has got to be the biggest british world champ we have, and the most ignored, if he can lift the title this year it will be the fourth year in succession(the first year the championship was classed as the european touring car) so come on guys, get behind him!!Yea Baby!!!

Wednesday 19 September 2007

Colin Mcrae.

One word , sums up this guy......Extraordinary!!!!

Monday 17 September 2007

More Buckmore?

The roadtrip to Buckmore almost did`nt begin as a small drama with the bonnet catch, before setting off, nearly ended with no roadtrip!! once the diy skills caught up tho` it was `wagons roll' for the Stallion, and the Captain, on leg 1 of the journey...... The borrowed sat-nav was fantastic, however a mile from our destination, the annoying bitch inside the device, said `you have arrived' a quick call to the speedichick, soon proved that wrong!!!!!!, however, once underway again (with enough food to stun a rhino) we had a remarkably clear , and uneventful journey to Buckmore where, once again, we were a little further away than expected, by now we knew the drill, and drove aimlessly around Kent, until luck found the entrance to Buckmore. The other two members of the team, Speedy, and the Yellow Peril failed to hook up, despite living near the M25, we got hold of Speedy, but the Peril came close to not making it due to traffic!!!!

The track is on a hill, and after a marathon briefing, we began quali, despite a crap kart for team 1 we managed to place 8th for kart 2,and dead last for kart1,(we changed kart1 after the first lap, but it was still 2secs a lap slower!!) The first corners from a standing start with 31 other karts all wanting the same space, are fun, the captain, and the Stallion had this particular pleasure, after the usual sideways action, t-boning, spins, etc we were underway! Game on! Lap 1 for K1 was 5th, K2 was changed, and the stallion , let fly with his italian blood, and had a remarkable run to 17th before his first stop,(will we ever hear the fxxxing end of it? ) K1 was back to 5th at the first stop, on lap 39 . the second stints by the Speedichick, and the Peril were typically smooth, with little drama, although I`m sure I heard `GETTOUTTATHFXXXINGWAY!!!!!!!' being screamed by the speedychick , clearly impatient with the guys who were too busy waving at the crowd, obviously the Peril is much too urbane for that kind of behavior, and prefers to assist slower karts up the hill, whenever possible.....

In his stint K1 was up to 3rd, and that position was heldup to lap 107, where we settled at 4th, K2 was making steady progress in everyones hands, but 2secs a lap slower, c`mon Buckmore??

Speedy was heroic with raging hayfever, and megasnot, but still posting good laptimes, he deserves a special `Yea Baby'for his efforts!!!!! As the race progressed the night drew in, the lights came on, and the slick egos were getting excited! It was the final stints, our two fastest guys were out, he, who can kill with his breath, and she, who was once famous............ At the half hour mark, k1 was a minute behind 3rd place, and closing at over 2 secs a lap... yea! The Chick responded to the frantic screams of `GETTAFXXXINGMOOVON' from the captain with a little friendly wave!, despite her best efforts, k1 finished 11.7 secs down from 3rd. Peril was serenely assisting others up the hill all the way to the end, and finished 9th. Fantastic job, slickegos, first time at the circuit, two karts in the top 10, and one in the top 5!!!! YEA BABY!!

The facilities at Buckmore were first rate, only let down by the pitlane , which is a shambles, and the inconsistency of the karts which was`nt allowed to go without comment.............more later!!

Tuesday 11 September 2007

Yea Baby!

Due to the overwhelming response to the `Name that Horse' competition, it has been decided to close the entries so that the judges can make their decision, prior to the upcoming uber kartfest, at Buckmore Park, the winner to receive their prize from the well-known, well- loved, well respected,............ sorry,...... she`s not available................. so, the Speedychick will have to do , instead. Never mind campers, an extra bingo session will be played , in the rear of the passat, instead. Speaking of roadtrips....................... a few rules for in-car-etiquette; all jokes are allowed; no fxxxing I-spy; All music shall be treated with respect or derision, as is appropriate; Farting should be discreetly followed by opening the window fully, unless you`re asleep, in which case, you will be shaken roughly to explain yourself; The Navigator should be respected, even when it is clear we are totally fxxxing lost, abuse should be succinct, pithy, and original; Respect the car, no shoes on the dash, or food in the ashtrays, please; For the poor traveller, sick bags will be provided; Any breaking of the above rules will mean banishment to the rear compartment, behind the dog guard!!!
All comments are welcome, and will be treated with due consideration.
Had a couple of iron man sessions at the weekend @ppik, the first was a yellowfest, the second had two yellow stoppages, and all the participants had big smiles, afterward. The first was the usual bunch of guys who still see the wide line as odd, despite the fact that the kart in front has lapped them several times!! I look forward to the new karts, with great anticipation, as these karts put you at the mercy of these numbnuts!! The second event was pure fun with two distinct groups, one was a large group of lads, the other, two couples, both had lots of fun, and laughter afterward in the bar, and will come back again, My times were terrible , but they made it a pleasure. Yea Baby!!!!

Saturday 8 September 2007

Men don`t do this.............

Why do men snore when they sleep on their backs?.....................................because their balls drop over their arseholes, and block the airway!!!!!!!

there were three nuns in church, two were crying, one was laughing. The priest walked up to the first crying nun, and said `why are you crying?' she said, `I have killed someone!' the priest told her to go to the font, and drink the holy water. To the second crying nun he asked the same question, she said, `I stole a car!' she, also, was told to go to the font, and drink the holy water. the priest asked the third nun, `why do you laugh, when your sisters are in pain?' `I just peed in the holy water!' she chortled.

A blonde woman went to the doctor with burnt ears, `what happened' asked the doctor? `The phone rang, and I picked up the iron, by mistake'. `And the other one?'he asked. `They rang back.'

Commiserations

The uberkind Speedy, had a bad weekend, albeit with some highlights. His attempt at obtaining his msa licence was a bust, however, his opportunity to play in some high powered machinery, particularly the Lotus Exige was some compensation. Look at it as a qualifying session, Speedy, for the next race, where you race from the back of the grid, and take the top step of the podium, on the last lap!!!Yea Baby!!!!

Friday 31 August 2007

Irony

Sunday Evening, last, 2 hour enduro, the Captain, and the Yellow Peril as a team at PPIK, which was also the celebration of Paul Clarke`s engagement!! Started 6th, had a good kart, which gave us the lead, with Yellow Perils able assistance, with two laps to go the right front wheel collapsed, and game over for the Captain!! boohoo! Earlier in the day The Captain had made some comments to the race director at PFI about the rules of enduro racing, referring to Kart failure meaning game over for that team!! Ironic or what?

Tuesday 28 August 2007

Name the Horse Competition

As the Uberkind, Speedy, steps into a new era in his life, He takes on the responsibility of a horse, a big one, this blog should help him find a name for the horse, which he can whisper, fondly to it as it kicks him, yet again in the bollocks!!!!! Suggestions so far are; Mr. Ed, and Eric, so suggest away, the prize being a free drink in the bar at Pfi, provided by the Speedichick!!

Pit Lane Babes

Trophies! Yea Baby!!

The Speedichick done good, overall first in the iron man at Pfi sunday last, and fastest lap!! Cool baby!! With over 20 racers, all in the 52 second lap times , the race could be described as the £85 procession, but with the exception of one guy, everyone had big cheesie grins, all over their faces, as they left the karts, well.. maybe the guys who normally lock out the podium, perhaps they were not as cheesie..... The Yellow Peril was up there, 3rd overall, but he had had a few beers the night before.... But Trophies, made of metal, wow!!!!!!!! Well done guys!! Inadvertantly, they played it very cool, because as they were doing the presentation, inside, we were chillin` in the sun outside, and the first the guys were aware of their podiums was when Adrian found us, and handed them their trophies, uber cool!! The Stallion is a little bruised around the ribs due to an enthusiastic battering he got when trying to defend his line, which if you mention it he will tell you in exhaustive detail, it WAS NOT MY FAULT!!!! Speedy had an heroic 5th, and thoroughly enjoyed himself, despite severe lacerations to the thumb, received while applying the blogsite decals to a helmet, I administered duck tape-aid which healed him immediately, and in fact, added to his speed. From now on I shall wrap duck tape all around my body! The sun was warm, the mood was strong, and we had a ball, so well done to the slickegos, we look forward to the next one. PS to the pillocks who believe that a truck can`t possibly overtake them, Believe it Baby!! and get out of my way!!!

V Festival - Just drying out!!!!!!

After changing my normal weekend activity from go-karting to live music I am now currently still drying out! I went to the V Festival in Stafford - Weston Park. There was nothing fast about it. On the Friday I was suck in a traffic jam of 8 hours - of which I was pushing the car because it wasn't worth turning the engine on! It was solid. We travel 5 miles in 8 hours! The weekend turned out to be very wet and muddy - thankfully I had my wellies. I am hoping that next weekends PFi big guns wont also be a wet one! Anyway I'm writing in response to 'OUR TEAM NEEDS A NAME'. Here are a few suggestions;-
  • The Nameless
  • The Big Guns
  • Big Guns on Tour
  • Touring Big Guns
  • Big Guns Abroad
  • 30 seconds to win
  • 4 men and a lady (4M&1L)
  • We need 2 chances!
  • Doubling chancers
  • Kids @ Heart
  • Pansy/ Pansies
  • Black, Blue and Yellow
  • The tourers
  • A Team / B Team
  • 5-2-win
  • Which is the lady!?
  • Fighting for Victory

Anyway thats just a few ideas - let me know what you think. Maybe we should go for 2 different names rather than ****1 and ****2. But let me know what you think.

Teamtalk

In Response to our apparent lack of a name, the team will be assembled at the individual event, at Pfi on Sunday, and we can get together, and discuss the merits of all things pansi-ish, after the event, in the bar. Anyone who has some ideas on getting the team fired up, and bonding( no, it doesnt mean dressing up as nurses, stallion!) then bring it on!! We have to set a target for the Race at B/more, and GOFORIT! Yea !! Top 5 should be our primary, top 10 secondary, there are a possible 35 teams, with 24 booked to date, I salivate as I write!! Sodi pro-karts, are our steeds, and I for one, vote in advance to book some practice on the day!!!! more money, I`m afraid, £40 for half hour, is it worth it? only you can decide, but all those in Favour say Yea Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are no compulsory stops in the race, only fuel stops, so other than these we can, with two karts, and 5 drivers, do the race in 4 stops per kart!!! We are all part of the same team, and so we share the shame,AND the glory. Bring it on!! Yea Baby!!!!

UberKind!!!

What a devastating performance by the Stoner uberkind!!!!!!!! Once again his attention to detail has paid off, and the race, no, the entire weekend was his, does he have limits? Time can only give the answers! Fantastic rides by Hopkins, and Hayden, despite the fact that it was a race with little action, these guys were trying!!!! Personally, I would like to see the pack close up, as it will be fun to watch the guys push each other for supremacy, and the processional races that plague F1, not become the norm. Rossi needs to be in the mix as he often responds well to close quarters racing, a bit of rain, will do the trick. Let`s hope the Uberkind has a couple of off races, and brings the championship closer together, well done Ducati, for producing a bike of this calibre. Yea Baby!!

Karting Challenge

This week we have managed a couple of hours karting, joining mixed experience events, all of us suffered at the hands of the other participants, with some hard barrier impacts, trying to avoid t-boning, or rear ending karters that are not paying attention!!!! It is clear that using peripheral vision is alien to many people, should it be part of the driving test?? I, personally had my obliques severely tested, and my left forearm wrenched in the last event, as drivers targeted the regular drivers for dodgem practice during the last event!!! Thanks to the copper headed one, for allowing us to participate, and he of the smooth skull for some wonderfull laps side by side, pity the kart I had was so lacking in pace!, which as the karts get older becomes more obvious, and had a big part to play in the others being able to target us. Looking forward, we anticipate Pfi, and a more experienced bunch of loonies......... Yea Baby!!

New Suit

Clearly, the uberkind, Speedy finds it amusing to mock a person, when his luck is down, however, it is completely over the top of my head!!! We await, with much anticipation the arrival of the thigh-length-beautifully polished, black leather boots!!!!!!!

Anyway, he would`nt let me take a pair of scissors to the suit, which is just mean.

As the picture above shows, being sartorially challenged, is not exclusive!

This is PROPER racing! Rossi has been the uber rider for so long, then this cheeky, baby-faced, barely able to vote, or buy a pint, legally, Stoner comes along, and suddenly Rossi as all over the place!! Always at the back of my mind is how Rossi thrives on challenge, so it aint over till the fat lady sings!!!!!! Stallion, will be on the edge of his personal pool, watching, willing his hero to win, well Stoner, BRINGITON baby!!!

Top Movies.

Any list of movies is subjective, however here are a few, which will stand a second viewing;
GRAND PRIX, with James Garner, even now the camera angles are good!
ALIEN, a bellyfull of bad mother, and Sig Weaver, in little knics! Yea Baby!
SEVEN, what a script!!
DIE HARD, ippykyaye, motherfucker!
THE THING, John Carpenter, at his best.
ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13, the original , again, John Carpenter.
FRENCH KISS, The chemistry between Meg Ryan, and Kevin Klein, is magical.
LEON, awesome!
NIKITA, the original french version.
SHOUT AT THE DEVIL, again, the chemistry between Marvin, and Moore!
TERMINATOR, bad robot!
WE WERE SOLDIERS, you should`nt be ashamed of bravery.
4 WEDDINGS & A FUNERAL, lump in throat.
Anyone reading this list would , perhaps, assume that violent movies are prefferred, not so. All these movies were extremely well directed, the attention to detail is astonishing, the way scenes are lit, and the, sometimes, ground-breaking cinematic techniques employed are astonishing. Yes there are bloodfests, but they serve only to enhance the movie, not detract from it. Most of this group were done with modest budgets, Alien, for example, cost £10million, and relied heavily on using quality acting, lighting, and amazing sets to create the tense atmosphere! Leon, and Nikita were beautifully lit, with wonderfull acting from the likes of Gary oldman, and jean Reno!!!!Yea Baby!!!!!
